Don't faint... reap instead

I

Sometimes there are things we have to do that we just dread... we are are like...ahhhh I really just don't want to deal with that... or perhaps we have been working so long on somethings we just feel hopeless and want to say.. I just want to give up.. but if we know we are on the right path that God has set before us.. CONTINUE... You will get that thing that God has put in your heart. The key is DUE SEASON. Sometimes there are times to reap.. such as finishing school and then the day of your graduation.. planting and the times of harvest etc... Stand on the Word of God and continue and be encouraged.. focus on the harvest and not on the wait be joyful and at peace during  the waiting period. Glorify God while you are waiting for the full harvest and thank Him "BY Faith" like Abraham did glorifying God

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

Romans 4:20

until we receive our harvest. This is what you do during the "waiting time" Praise God, worship God, and glorify and thanking Him in all we do expecting to receive from the Lord and not to be wearied and discouraged but rather full of faith!

You can do it!

Sometimes we feel there are things we just can't do. Maybe it's losing weight, maybe it's starting a new career.. But you can do it ... not in your own strength but through the strength that Christ will give you as He strengthens you.

Rightly divide the Word of truth

Daily Bible Study

We are taking a new turn in our Bible study I will be sharing one verse daily :)
 2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

As Christians we should be diligently be studying the Word of God. We need to take the time to make sure that we are interpreting the verses we read correctly comparing Scripture with Scripture.

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob

You can listen to the bible here --- > http://www.biblegateway.com/resources/audio/

Today's Study
Genesis 25-29

Abraham dies and his 2 sons bury him

After Abraham goes to heaven God blesses Isaac.

Rebekah has twins

Esau
Jacob

We see division in the home as Rebekah and Isaac play favorites and each has a favorite kid.

Jacob is a trickster and deceiver and cheats Esau his brother out of his birthright. Esau doesn't value what is given to him and even though he is almost at the point of death he gives it up easily.

Again we see the sin of lying brought in from Abraham ... Isaac lies and says that Rebekah is his sister and not his wife.
Isaac sows in the land and receives 100 fold! The people of the land get jealous of him and he is asked to leave.

We see Isaac as a peaceful man he builds many wells to keep the peace. He appears to be a very gentle man and he doesn't seem to make a lot of waves in his lifetime.

We see Esau taking 2 wives that are a grief to his parents.

Isaac is deceived in his death over greed. It is truly amazing the GREED that people show when someone is old to get things for themselves. We see his wife, and his child actually deceiving him to get for themselves. Rebekah too may have been thinking of herself as Jacob was one that was her special son. Perhaps she was concerned for her own care. Jacob certainly had greed in his heart. We see Jacob even using God's name saying.. God brought me the food..  Esau was upset as well to the point where he wanted to kill his brother. The reward Rebekah received for her sin was that her son had to leave so her other son wouldn't kill him. God in His wisdom knew all this would happen. I am not sure what would have happened differently if Jacob didn't act in sin as the Messiah did come from Jacob's line. We see that Esau later does break off the yoke off himself and we see Esau getting peace. It is important to remember these are real people and we as Christians need to act godly towards our own parents too and not act out of greed and disrespect as we see so many do.

Isaac sends Jacob away to find a wife from his family and not to take a wife from the daughters of the Canaanites. Esau tried to please his parents by taking a different kind of wife.

God reaches out to Jacob and promises him the land. Took stone for pillow and sees a ladder to heaven. God tells Jacob He is with him. Jacob says that the Lord will be his God and that he will give God 1/10 of all he has.

Abraham and Sarah

Abraham and Sarah

Genesis 13- 24

Listen Here

Abraham is a "friend" of God. We too need to take the time to cultivate our relationship with the Lord. Prayer, Bible Study and regular Bible Study.

The Word of God says Man shall not live by Bread ALONE but by EVERY Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. ... We live by the word of God and not just by food.

Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt when she looked back.

We see Abraham and Lot his nephew separating because of their wealth. Lot dwells in the cities of the plain and lives among sinners this influence also affected his daughters later as we see them having a baby with their father for fear of being alone. These two sons that the girls bore were a hinderance to the people of God... the ammonites and Moabites came from this act.

I want to encourage you to get a notebook and pen and to take notes on your studies. Pray over what you study and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you. Also feel free to get some markers and to mark those verses that are special to you.

Rich man lies about his wife and she marries another

Genesis 11-13

Listen here.

http://www.biblegateway.com/resources/audio/

God changed their languages at the Tower of Babel so they could not understand each other. It says they left off building the city.

       Abraham and Sarah

God promises Abraham a seed  even though Sarah was barren.

We see Abraham lying and saying Sarah is his sister to save his life because of Sarah's beauty. God protected Abraham even though he sinned and didn't allow the king to sleep with her who had taken her as his wife in ignorance thus the King was protected as well from sinning against God.  Abraham was a very rich man as he traveled and Lot his nephew and Abraham had to separate from each other in order to take care of their animals as the land wouldn't be able to handle both of their flocks.

Today's study...

Genesis 7-10

Noah and the Ark

Here we see a floating barn... a floating Zoo.

The animals came to him... more than likely because God drove them to Noah and they sensed the impending danger.

Shem and Japheth covered their father's nakedness. It is serious business to curse your parents or to talk ugly of them. As Ham wanted to expose his Father's sin.

Did you see that evil tall guy? He's HUGE!

Listen to Genesis 6

Listen here

Genesis 6
The Bible talks about Giants in Genesis 6 and how they got their start. They were the sons of God that fooled around with women and had babies. Those fallen angels that had sided with satan when he sinned against God. To help you to see how tall these giants were they were approx. 3 x's as tall as a normal woman. People corrupted themselves by having sex with these giants and it says as we read along Noah was perfect in "his generation" . Some believe he did not have giant blood in his veins. King David put a end to all the giants in his lifetime. A interesting thought the last days will be like the Days of Noah will it be that once again the humans are corrupt... cloning? or perhaps something else? These Giants throughout Scripture were always evil and we see that those who died in the flood none went to heaven.
Please note men began to mutiply and this is when the sons of God took wives of  all which  they chose from the women and because of all this the earth became corrupt and filled with violence through them.  God found Noah just in his generation. People now were proclaimed to live only 120 years as God planned to destroy the firmament and the greenhouse effect and to save only Noah and his family.
